    Hi Guys,

I have a 1971 GS 350 automatic with shift kit. Actually has a 1970 engine in it which I believe has more compression and hp's than the '71. I have Flowmaster exhaust. I still have the stock manifolds. Go with headers ? Would I improve horsepower with a aluminum intake and what kind is recommended ? I put in a Pertronix HEI Ignitor 1 kit in the stock distributor a number of years ago. I am not married to the stock look at this point and am wondering if I need to go with an HEI with a box.... and again what type ? Not sure if a new cam is what I am looking as I like the smooth idle.

Any suggestions are appreciated for a few more hp's.

Headers will be the most HP for the $, maybe and X pipe while your are at it. Aluminum intake will lighten up the front by 20#, but no increase in HP.:3gears:
