Reduced price from $16500 to 10500 for needed room!

Selling a very rare 71 GS ragtop with a stick. 1 of only 51 built and most of those were bucket seat cars, mine is factory bench seat. This ragtop also has factory AC so there can't be many out of the 51 with these 2 options!

This is a Blue-Chip investment that needs to be restored but is ALL MATCHING NUMBERS. Block, heads, intake, special carb for stick cars, alternator, distributor special for stick cars, ram-air air cleaner, M21 Muncie Close Ratio 4 speed, 3:08 POSI Rear. Also has power steering, power heavy duty front disc brakes, sway bars, etc.

I can send anyone serious about the car a complete ad with all the numbers and codes and in-depth description if wanted.

    Lowered price to make room!

Jeez....Does the seller realize exactly how much money it will take to get that car restored? Probably 4 times what the finished value is. Its a neat car but so far gone.

For $2k more, you can be driving my 70 GS 455 with a non original 4 speed conversion. And all you would need to do is change the oil on it and wash it. And washing is optional

Neither car will pass a state inspection outside of the very few states that don't require a body with no rust holes to pass So it's not much worse off than the beater.

I'd bet for 2k that convert could be a driver if the frame was good. Ignoring the body work too.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

There is a 71 GS 4spd 350 convertible on eBay and its been on there a long time and he is dreaming that he will get 38k I dont see it happening but who knows someone with a ton of money may buy it. This rotted out car would cost way more than 38k to fix. The flipper that has the one on eBay buys a lot of cars off eBay and then just resists them for higher price till they sell. I think he does really well I have seen him get some really good deals and flip them for double later on.

And I was laughed at when I was asking $8500 for my 70 Skylark with a complete BB GS suspension and drivetrain and 98% perfect interior...Guess i'll keep it and it stays in my garage from here out...

Well, if your interested in this car, then make sure you tell the Seller that although he thinks the bench seat in a '71 GS is "rare", Buick only offered thetwo versions of the (2 dr) bench seat in Skylark and GS convertibles in '71 and '72 - the point is that the ones produced with the buckets are the rare ones (SCO cars). Maybe the Seller will get more realistic on the price.
