For Sale: 1971 Centurion. 56,xxx miles. Burnished Cinnamon/Black vinyl top, Black interior with Bench Seat. Interior is in fantastic shape. Never any rust on the body. Lettering still visible on the fuel tank. A/C is weak but I think it will charge and work fine-I may do this anyway. I've had the sides of the car painted to fix the garage rash that was on the car when I got it.
Its AM radio works. The previous owner left that alone and added a stereo in the glove box. Speakers are installed - tweeters up high on the front pillars, 4" round jobs in the kick panels, 6x9's in the deck, 2 (removable )boxes in the trunk. Original Spare. I've had the wheels off and the chrome wheels are perfect front and back, as is the spare.
    455 engine, th400. 2.93 rear. Posi available. (extra$$)
I'm holding out for $7700 for this Beast.

Well, I kinda ran out of room! I have a '65 in the body shop and need a space for that. Its like I'm 1 space short... one or 2 spaces are occupied by parts cars, but they are easier to maintain than running cars! :Dou:

    Ted,
Beautiful car. I have a question on the alternator not related to this sale.
An AC Delco source states in '71, for one year only, alternator # 1100891 55A was used in an AC A- body Buick. I'm not certain on the fullsize cars. Yours looks completely original. Do you think it might be the original alternator? What number do you have?
I'm looking for a needle in a huge haystack. I'd like to find a # 1100891 case/core to rebuild for my Skylark.

One of the nicest I've seen. :TU: I would be all over it if I didn't already have one.

    Thanks Adam!
I had to change my signature this morning.
That car will soon be EVEN NICER!
    Good luck!
I found the build sheetin my file. I found 2 in the car. This one was attached to the underside of the front seat! The other one is still in the car where I saw it- between the back seat and the trunk, visable from the trunk.

hmm....where do I start on this thing?

We were up until 1am last night working to get some bugs out of the ignition system..looks like I will continue doing that for now.

I enjoyed the scenery at the Chili place yesterday, Ted....good choice for lunch!

    Thanks Tony...

I am going to put a 3.23 posi in it. If I had a truck, I would've thrown the whole mess into the bed and hauled it home...but I don't need it.

I threw on my JO carb, and it runs like a bat outta hell now....compared to last night!! We almost didn't get it home, it was running sos bad. Must've been a gremlin...it ran ok this morning, and when we picked it up. It did make a huge difference when I put the new carb on. I think it really just needs a full tune up. We cleaned up the plugs, replaced the cap and rotor, and messed with the points last night, and it was running ok.

The stereo is killer, though. WOW! I thought I had a nice system in the convertible. And the best part is, the AM radio still works. I will need to install some quick disconnect plugs for the rear subs so I can remove them for shows.

Thanks again, Ted, for the tour of the Taj Magarage! I could spend lots of time in there.
