This one looks real nice! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...b7eQQitemZ180500515710QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
This is not far from Charlotte NC and there are many members from the Carolina Chapter in the area if you need someone to look at the car try to search and see if any of the members are on the board or contact me and I will see if any of them can go look at it for you :TU:
>>I'm not sure if it was an option for that year. I have seen mid to late 1960's Buick Sportwagons with the glass roof - cool looking option.
I have seen that car. It is located about 25 miles from me. It is in Stanley, NC that is between where I live and Charlotte NC. I have seen the guy's lot and he keeps a few collectible and muscle cars "in stock." I don't personally know him though. May be Kenneth, I think. It is a nice car, but I just don't have the room or the money for it.
I drove over today, after church, to look at this Sportwagon. It is everything the owner said it is. I took some digital pictures, but somehow I have erased them. But, no matter, they are basically the same as the ones in the ad. I talked to the owner, and he seems to be a straight up guy. The wagon is not perfect, but a really high quality driver. No rust that I could see. Straight sheet metal and really good interior. He said that he had put about 20,000 miles on it since the rebuild and refurbish. The only thing I could criticize is the Olds 442 steering wheel. The chrome is driver quality. But it is showing its age. PM me if you want to know any more.
Has anyone made a move on this Sportwagon? How about you John (staged70)? I will still offer to run interference on the car for anyone out of the area.
Spoke to the seller on the phone the day he ended the EBAY auction, he implied that he sold it locally that same day...don't know to whom.
