My mother in law has a 1970 or 71 buick convertible sitting in the garage. The front grill has a GSX on it and has a functional ram air hood. I believe it also has a 455 badge on the grill also with the gsx. My question is did they make a gsx 455 convertible and if so how can I find out for sure if hers is one or not. We are currently thinking about getting it restored after much probing by me and would like to find as much out as possible about the car. Also, any idea what such a car such as this could be worth when restored to a nice driver can, not a trailer queen. Thanks for any and all info you can give.

No on the GSX Convert. List the body tag that's on the fire wall and we will help you with it.

I know !! I have this reacurring dream!:idea2: A old man comes up and says he has a GM proto type that came out of the back room. His brother in law worked for Buick back in the day. When he left in early 71 they gave him a 70 GSX convert with a spcecial motor in it.:bglasses: Then I'm up in somebody yard dodging trees, kids, old ladies using walkers, and fire hydrant. Reality!!:spank:

They offered bucket seats in Stage 1 convertibles for 1970.
