Yes I have the gm build sheet for the car.Has the original block and stage 3 or 4 heads pushing a little horse around 610 plus hp.Still has original paint which looks real good. All round cars does not need anything that I no of. Asking price 78,000 Ray

The A body is more pleasurable to drive, it may be more valuable, and is harder to find in nicer condition.

Nothing against the GNX, but if I had to choose id go for the A-body. (this coming from a guy who sold his skylark for a regal :p) But I miss my skylark, and the plan is always to get another skylark.

    Ray,
I would bet the guy from New York would buy your car with a single phone call.:laugh::laugh:

So you better make sure you want it to go before you call him.

if u are tired of the car, then sell it and purchase the vehicle u would like to have.

As the others have said, if you want a GNX, get one.
However, if you're looking at investment value, then I'd keep the GSX. GNX's have pretty much reached their peak dollar wise, simply because anyone who wants one, pretty much already has one, with few exceptions. As for the GSX, their value will continue to go up.
If you sell the GSX, you'll regret it the day it leaves the driveway.
A friend here in North Texas recently sold his silver '71 X 4-spd, and he misses it quite a bit. :ball:

I cant remember how many times I have heard "I wish I never sold that car" To "me" the GSX is the best of the Buicks. I had to settle for a GS Clone, but ill never sell it. I would love to have your GSX.

Ray is your car a documented matching number 4 spd X? stage 1 car? My local bud with a undoc numbers X took a real beating selling his restored 71 X. Without the original paperwork the 71 is almost impossible to prove. That said if you have the docs you will have an easier time with the big collectors that want to add a GSX to the collection. I am going to say I would not trade a GSX for a GNX but thats me. You might try a large auction with a reserve to see if its going to bring the money. Good luck with whatever you decide.

What kind of beating did your buddy take selling the 71 X?stage 1?price? .Its fairly easy to figure out if a 71 is a GSX or not theres plenty of clues that can narrow the car down .

If I had the money, your car would be on the top of my list. It is my all-time favorite GS, a Limemist GSX! Best color combo ever! And a 4 speed! Come on powerball tickets...

All the right stuff was there with no docs. Car was restored and numbers matching 40k or about half the cost of a resto on a good car. The low body#, correct spoiler and late production all original sheet metal with date codes. Duane checked it out and gave it an unofficial thumbs up. Just saying that without the original docs a GSX is very hard to prove and buyers use that to hammer the selers of 71 GSX's. Case in point look at the problems with the 71 4 spd X that Chamberlain was selling on his site. Everyone here seemd to be trying to disprove its legitimacy.

Make sure you want to sell it. I sold my 70 stage # matching 3 years ago and regreated it ever since. I did replace it with a 87 GN but it just wasn't the same. Don't get me wrong i love the car but i just had to have 70's muscle so i found a 70 non# matching stage car and bought it. I will not make the same mistake twice. So please think twice before you sell it.

Rays car is a true gsx and He has the build sheet to prove beyond any doubt it is a GSX. So quit with the beating of what someone with a undocumented car got. This GSX has most of its original paint still on the car. Also this GSX was in the picture with others in Muscle car Mag. From the GSX Reunion.

RAY.........think long and hard about this. If you put a price on this car my bet is it will sell. Make damb sure this is what you want to do. I have been there done that and many times wish I had my GSX back. I just don't want to see you sell it and not be able to get one later on if you change your mind later and miss it.
