Options include A/C, Cruise, rear defroster, rear trunk light. Interior is black with a bench seat and column shift. New interior ; Carpet, headliner, package tray, front seat and headrests.
Can someone with more knowledge than me tell is this is an actual GS. Owner does not have paperwork but I am interested all the way in Florida. Thanks.
It has to be if it's a numbers matching engine since a 455 wasn't avail. any otjer way but the VIN or trim tag (43437) would confirm. Add 1H to that for '71 & Flint.
I don’t think you can go wrong for the asking price. It’s a Sharp car with standard interior bench seat.
I believe there’s plenty of members here from Kentucky maybe someone will look at the car for you if you ask.
Ok. Is there someone in Kentucky that lives near the seller who can take a look for me before I fly to look and maybe buy? In the photos provided I did not see any interior GS emblems and only want a true GS regardless of cost. So there is no confusion I understand what is being sold is not perfect but still want only an original GS 455. That said seller seems like a nice guy. Thanks Steve
Florence is a Cincinnati suburb. @SpecialWagon65 is in that area & could maybe supply a few names of others who might be interested in helping.
Only way to confirm without paperwork or matching #s us to check the frame thickness,..the kickdown plug being present is another solid clue
So Eagleguy is out of running for the car. A few things to clear up. I do have paperwork, clear KY title, the VIN is correct and on the title. I am still not sure about the standard interior having GS emblems on a 71, but not sure thats how I would judge whether it is a real GS 455. It does have the extra body mount for example. I am not selling this as a perfect example, but it is a nice car at a fair price, nearly rust free, and a real 1971 GS 455.
