Not mine. Seems cheap if it is a true Stage 1. 1971 Buick GS 455 Stage One. Buick promotions that year stated the Buick GS 455 as "Fast with Class" and they nailed it right on the head. "One of only 680 built". The sheet metal is original and straight all the way with corrrect code 53 Cortez Gold painted with base coat clear coat. All the chrome and brightwork is in very good condition. The full vinyl roof is in good condition as well. When you slide into the correct code 168 black bucket seats interior, it seems like it is 1971 all over again. Factory loaded with all the goodies, which include, 455 ci high performance ram air v8, turbo hydromatic 400 transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, factory tach, 15" chrome wheels, n25 rear bumper, rear window defogger, remote mirror, correct floor mats, front & rear spolier, a/c. The best thing about this 1971 Buick muscle car, is the way it performs. It starts, runs, drive, steer and brakes like it did 39 years ago. The 455ci high performance ram air v8 runs super strong and the 400 transmission shifts clean and crisp, the posi traction rear end will snap your head back when it shifts. This is an investment grade muscle car in every way and will only continue to appreciate in value. http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/1899718959.html
Pretty sure we went down this road with this car before. The broker would never show the items that would help verify the car such as the trans VIN and the tag. I would be real careful.
I saw that car listed twice on ebay 6 month's ago. I also spoke to the guy representing it and who listed it. He didn't know how to "check over a '70-'72 Buick GS, such as Motor/Trans/Rear number's, build sheet, etc. I gave him a price on me driving the 1.5 hours down to look it over and authenticate motor/trans and what I know on seeing if it's a real Bigblock car vs. GS350,etc. But tho a nice guy, I never heard back from him. I would look at it as a "replica" or GS350 upgraded at this point.... JMO. :idea2:
