Ok guys it's time for a new build. I've had fun with this motor but its time for a new one. It's a 1971 455 I got out of a riv. In my 1968 skylark it when the best of 11.94 @ 111. With a auto and 3450lb. It's bored .035, ARP rods and Maine bols, ARP head studs, crank is .020-.020, clevite rods and main, TA cam bearing, lunati cam in 235/ex 245 501 lift 111 center line, venolia pistons, balance, stage 1 conversion heads, SP-1 intake, quick fuel 850. I am selling it as a whole. Carb to pan and the headers to if you want them. I am asking $4000. I will ship it if buyer want to pay for shipping. The only thing you may need to do to the motor is put the right push rods in it and some roller rockers. It has stock 430 rockers in it now the work but one is brokering that I fix. So it need one new one. Its still in the car if you want to hear it run. If you have any question feel free to call me 508-414-0690. Thanks josh. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Can you explain that better? What valvetrain in the engine when you ran 11.94?

It has stock 430 rocker that take 3/8 push rods and I have 5/16 push rods in it so for some reason they hit the heads where they go through. So u can get 5/16 push rods with 3/8 balls. And one rocker lost the tip so I welded it and put a new tip on it. I did 11.94 just like it is but I don't think it's to safe to race like that again.
