The sport coupe has 113K miles: A/C, PW, tinted glass, tilt, power driver's bucket, speed minder, posi, cornering lamps(missing), fnt fender and rear quarter mlds, AM radio, floor mats, vinyl top, did not have key to open the trunk or glove box to check for p/trunk release...rot around rear window, concerned about package tray area.

The convertible has A/C, roll-up windows, no posi tag, could not check much else due to the tarp being tied down.

Still waiting to hear back from the owner...

And both have their front bumper badges intact....Sweet!

Too bad they're 2500+ miles away, otherwise I'd be tempted to pick-up one as a parts car. :Brow:

The owner of the cars is currently living in Germany. I did flash some $$$ to the land owner in hopes he would relay that i was serious. Both cars are restorable with minimal rust. I wonder how many of the 1226 coupes are left with the buckets/console shift? I am hoping he will sell...:Brow:

OT, but a point of curiosity- I notice that the hood doesn't lay even with the fender on the driver's side, at the cowl. Is that a spring issue or is it the hinge?
    TIA

It could be both the hinges and springs. The hood did not really want to stay up high and I did have to push down on both rear corners to seat the hood near the cowl...after these shots were taken.

I was more concerned with the potential interior rust from the holes(vinyl top) near the back window glass...:( The body itself is pretty rust free. The car is a true northwester...rots from the top and makes it's way down.

I see that the coupe has Oregon plates.

I remembering looking at a '70 Wildcat with buckets and operating console in this exact color combination in about 1973 at the Buick dealership in Salem, Oregon. Hmmm. Would be cool if it were the same car!

Brian, that could be entirely possible given the buckets and console shift. The car does not have a whole lotta miles for a '70 and was last tabbed in '94. You can tell the car was kinda nice then left to 'soak' out in the elements. It is like most cars I find...wish I found it in 1995.

I don't think these cars are for sale after all...no response at all.:ball:

What ticks me off: Even if you are keeping this car to use the buckets/console in a 'vert or something else, they are deemed useless if the seat tracks sit in water any longer than they already have...it's like the guy with an original GSX sitting in a field that he 'will someday get to'...gimme a break...
