Thanks for tip on convertible. I will follow up on it. To clarify I only want 2 door coupe if has bucket interior. Convertible I will take either way although I never saw a factory 1970 Wildcat Convertible with Buckets. I've owned three convertibles and wish I just kept one of them. All bench seat interiors.

One of my neighbors when I was a early teen had a 70 wildcat convert with buckets and console. When I would wash my dad's 66 wildcat gs, he would pay me to wash his. It always needed a bath cause he worked at Sparrows Point steel yard (Bethlehem Steel) and the car was always dirty from the coke ash. I loved that car almost as much as my dad's. Was blue with black interior. AHHH the good old days.

How ironic, I came across one today. Was headed toward Walmart today and my wife said look at that old convert over there, turned and looked and it was a 70 Wildcat Convert. The driver was sitting in it in the Home Depot parking lot. I told her to turn around and let's go look at it. We pulled up next to it and it was a bucket seat console car. Struck up a conversation with the old guy and turns out he lives in the next town over. He has had it since 68. Garage kept and in very good condition with 84,000 orig miles. Has a/c and tilt wheel. Quickly gave him my number and begged him to call me if he ever sells it. He explained that he has been thinking about it for about a year as he is getting older. I went away shaking with anticipation. Only the third 70 I have ever seen with buckets and console. Was white with black interior and black top with one repaint about 15 years ago he told me. Funny, in all of these years have never seen the car around, and my area is not that populated. I sure hope he decides to part with it!!! My wife said she gets it cause she saw it first! who cars as long as it ends up in my garage!!!

    Since 68?

Convertibles were only (theoretically) made with bench seats, but maybe a COPO or, more likely, a conversion is certainly possible. I really liked my 'Cat conv... it was a great car.
