hi alain. you may want to have a look at my 72 gs stage 1 conv. that's up online.
i understand you want ac and i agree with you. However, the ac with these cars makes it difficult to get to the rear spark plugs and really crowds the engine compartment in my opinion. I recommend you look into vintage air ac. I saw a setup on a riv recently at a car show and was amazed how it takes up virtually no space. ! When parts are always avail from vintage, and im told the cooling is good too, I think you may want to reconsider. I know i did when I saw the vintage. Only two hoses through the firewall or run them underneath through the floor panel.

And it looks horrible unless its the whole serpentine belt system from Vintage Air, but that's about $3k for parts alone. The system you are talking about is only the compressor in the engine bay and every time I see it I cringe, just like when I see a Sun tach bolted to a steering column.....ugggggh! IMO....

Beside Alain already found a car from this post.......GL with your sale.

Actually alain it does not look horrible at all. There is almost nothing there to see in the first place. Have a look at the setup for yourself. The man who had it had a 65 riv and he loved how it looked and performed and i agree with him. I have no knowledge of the different serpentine belt deal or the price.. what i can tell you is that the setup i saw was simple, looked great, took up almost no space and the owner was more than happy with his purchase. never again will a classic car not having ac stop me. I am happy to share with you my opinion and there is no rule that someone cannot buy a second car. Look at how many cars people on this board own ?
72 stage 1 is just very unhappy that i wont sell him my car for the 15 grand he offered. i'm sure thats quite a coin for 72 stage 1 and i have the utmost respect for him. However, i cant sell my car to him for only 15k. i wish he would just get over that and move on. he has a hardtop and would love to have a convertible next to it of the same color. i just cant let my car go for 15 grand. maybe someone here can lend him some money ?he doesnt have to hate me, or be jealous since i would be more than happy to sell him my car. can someone help 72 stage 1 ? i wish 72 stage 1 luck to have more than 15k to buy my car. maybe a casino or just some kind member who will lend him some benjamins would be appreciated.

Robert, the first paragraph of your post is totally acceptable, the second part however, seems a little disrespectful. Could I ask you to please tone down the responses directed at other members?

Dude...Perhaps you should join Facebook and get on Scott White's page..You two have much in common...Seriously,people have been honest and trying to educate you on some very easy identifiable things that were not correct on your car. Go ahead..Ask 60k and see how many actual people bite on it..

Really?? You really want to go down this road? I am sure Jason is resolving this issue as I type. I can’t believe how you have acted to people just trying to help and educate you. I wish you the best of luck in the future.

I was as nice as possible to you to Robert. Your behavior on this forum has been totally unacceptable. And your wish is my command.
