Does anyone know if the pulleys on a sbb 350 fit a big block motor, I want to change from old steel to aluminum but no one can say if the sbb 350 are the same as a bbb 400 - 455. If someone knows that would be great.

Do you have air conditioning? You could get pulley kit from march for 78-86 3.8 v6 .comes with crank waterpump and alternator. You will have to get long waterpump. March #4220 is kit.

    Thanks Andy

I don't have air. So a 1978-1984 buick 3.8 V6 has the same belt configuration? Or at least pulleys? Do you know if the later serpentine belt system will fit also?

yes the GN belt stuff fits, uses long belts. abit pricey. that's why I suggested the earlys v6 stuff. guys have modded chevy stock truck stuff tobuick 350s.i think 88 to 93 350 /4.3 stuff .shim s and pulley alignment was time consuming but system worked

OK.but with the GN stuff you will need to change over to the brackets and power steering pump/resivoir used in that setup.that's why its costly. Unless you use the GN pulleys and align you power steering pump ,make your own brackets for idlers and tensioner.power steering pulley will have to be found that aligns belt.
