The block is at Finishline Motorsports, Freeport, MI 49325. I bought it as a complete stock 455 a few years ago. It was disassembled, cleaned, bored to 4.350" or .038" over with a deck plate, standard oil mods done, deck drilled and tapped for stg2 extra bolts, decks squared, main bores align honed. I ran it about 4,000 miles on the street and it was running great when I took the engine apart after I found bearing flakes in the oil filter. Pic is just before I removed the engine. $300 plus freight or pick up in MI. No offense but please don't post asking how much shipped to XXXXX. If you're serious, you know where it is and you can get quotes from shipping companies. Thanks for looking, Andy
There was absolutely no damage to the bores. Like I said, this engine was running fine, never lost oil pressure, never overheated. I don't have any recent pics. After it was disassembled, I applied bearing grease to the bores to keep them from rusting and then wrapped the block in a moving blanket. Then it took a trip North. The pic below is what it looked like before it was installed in the car. I'll call Finishline tomorrow and ask them to inspect the block.
I just got off the phone with Bobb @ Finishline. he says the block is ready to go with just a touch up hone. There are no issues.
Am I not first inline on this? It has been over 2 months since anyone has showed interest. The block was then offered to JW. I told Andy if JW passed on it then I was interested. The one person who showed interest got their question answered and a pic and over 2 months ago and didnt' act on it. Then I bring it to the top and he says he'll take it?? Really? I am very much interested in this block.
