A lot of folks from restorers on down have told me to forget it but the search continues. In 69 and 70 Buick offered like most other manufacturers a "rim blow" steering wheel. What this meant is that around the entire rim of the wheel was a contact strip that by squeezing you could activate the cars horn. I'm searching for one as it was a factory installed item on a restoration project I am doing. Ebay continuously offers Mopar and Ford ones and I had one that worked great on a 70 LTD I owned last year. It is a nuisance item but a neat one at the same time. In any case, my search continues for one. Most of the time they were removed shortly after the car was purchased because owners couldn't stand them. I'm searching for the one that ended up in a box in an attic that is in nice shape. I've got parts or American dollars to trade! Thanks! Steve Heck I don't even have a picture to share that's how well my search is going.
Steve, Good to see your back looking for parts again! Hope the family is well and maybe things are starting to settle down a little? Anyhow, I still have the wheel I promised to hold for you. Do you still want it? Not one of the perfect ones from a storage bin, but you can restore it in your spare time, LOL. Anyhow, let me know. Rich
Hey Rich - The wife is pacing back and forth right now praying this baby will come out on the weekend when I'm home - God bless her. Please hold that wheel it's the closest to new I've ever seen and it will likely be the core I build from - I've got your parts too and will be out to see you soon. I can begin moving into the new home in 2 weeks then the parts search will begin. Take Care! Steve
Best of luck wit the baby. I'm holding my soon to be 1 year old as I type. Would not trade it for anything, but I sure don't get anything done anymore p The shell is still in the same place it was in the spring. Just give me a shout :beer Rich
Rich & Steve... Children are Gods gift to us. They are the most important responsibility in our lives. I can attest to the lack of time to complete anything anymore. . I was known to restore or resurrect at least 3 cars a year  . . .since my son was born in 1995, I've actually finished just 4 cars and a Donzi racing boat. I am still working on a car that I was posta have done over 3 years ago. . . Basketball. Homework. Bass guitar lessons, Soccer. Pool parties. Sleepovers. . .etc. . .Its a wonderful time to be a dad! Spend your time wisely! :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
:TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: My first born starts kindergarden tommorow. Then dance, church song group, Brownies. Not to forget, the Sat. Home Depot workshop, swim lessons, basketball. And now we go fishing when we can! They say having a child changes everything, they weren't kidding! Rich
Kids then cars You're both absolutely right! My wife and son are home now and although he's jaundiced and wearing a billy ruben light - he's got a great appetite and his facial expressions are keeping us all laughing. There's certainly nothing greater! Cheers, :beer
Guy's, I could not agree more...My two boys (5 & 7) have changed my life for sure. My oldest was jaundiced and spent his first week at home under the billy ruben lights. Hang in there, that part will be over before you know it. BTW I'm looking for a RimBlow wheel too (brown) keep me in mind should you run across one.
