1970 Rear Bumper Buick Nameplate $189 at Year One?

This is the "BUICK" emblem that goes between the tail lights on the rear bumper. Black was correct on the GS and Skylark models only. This part can be painted argent to be correct for the Special models."

Does anyone know about this ? I just found it and I'm tempted to buy it.

It does not exist and never will at that price. They never sold them, got some bad protos and have left the ads up for several years.

GS Stage1, did yours have any pitting? My original has a lot of pitting and I just bought one off ebay for $50 that has some pitting.

Yours appears to be reworkable. Send it to AIH and they will examine it in detail and provide you with an estimate. Expect them to take 6-8 weeks. They are very busy and their work is outstanding!

 

Are you sure about that Gary? My Custom came with a black one.

 

I'v owned several 70 model larks, GS's, and customs, and from my personal expirence, MOST customs came with the black one. Of course who's to say they havn't been replaced over the years due to wrecks and such o No:

 

I just though sense my 70 came new with sliver all the GS's I saw had black I just though thats the way they came

 

Yeah, my base model came with a silver one too. Most, if not all Customs I have seen are black.
