Limited production 1970 Hurst Chrysler 300. This is a limited production milestone muscle car. Original 440/375Hp TNT engine. All original car with only 98K miles. This is a column shift 727 torqueflite model. Hurst wheels and two build sheets, fiberglass hood and trunk lid with spoiler. All options, except 8-track. Less than 250 cars remain out of 485 built. Nice original paint and interior. Extensive documentation, included window sticker and owners manual. I am the 3rd owner and a 300 Club member. Car was driven to St.Ignace 5 years ago and this car was the only one in attendance. $17000.00 or best cash offer, car is stored in Bridgman, MI. 49106. 1 hour away from Chicago or South Bend, IN. Relunctantly, selling to finish my frame off restoration of my Stage 1 convt.
Tnt ?? If I recall, the TNT was Chrysler's equivalent of the Dodge/Plymouth magnum engine description regarding some 383's and all of the 440's. I cannot explain why the pictures came out small scale(?). Thanks for the sanity check. Upstaged in Michigan.
that is one cool looking car!---see if you can get the pics larger by loading them on your desktop and resizing them to "web ready-large" size something like 640 pixels x 480 pixels.
Hi, Please email me pics (jayrestree@hotmail.com). Also, has any painting been done? Completely original? Any rust on body or frame? Very interested. This would look good with my father's collection.
Rare Car I have seen information on this vehicle in my encyclopedia of American Muscle cars. It is really cool to see this car real, or for real. Very nice car, and another real cool piece of auto history. I have never seen a rear shot of the car and it is quite interesting, so an enlarged rear end shot would be nice, if you can. :Brow:
I also saw the Hurst 300 at the local show in TN. It was a convertible with a 4 speed. I was wondering about the authenticity because it didn't have any scoop on the hood. I thought they all had the scoop. It did have the rear spoiler which was really unique and looked cool. I love these cars!
The one I saw was a hard top. Seems like I read once where they built 2 vertibles. But, who would be lucky enough to have one now?? Almost half these 300H's are gone already!
Was the 4 speed an available option on these cars? I've always liked these as well. This is one of only a handfull of BIG cars that I felt made the transition from grandpa's car to musclecar.
i had one of these in the 80's.mine was column shift, also. i believe there were some console hursts made, but i dont believe there was a 4 speed ever made. mine ran mid 15's on the track, but they are fun cars on the highway. :TU:
no kidding--that 440 on the highway in this monster and you could probably scare the heck out of some people. Saw one of these years ago at a car show in Lubbock as well as down here. This would be the perfect addition to a "big(ger) cars (with big motors of course) of the 60's/70's" collection....a bunch of cool two doors like the LeSabre/Wildcat/Electra/Centurion, Ventura/Catalina, Delta 88. Someone has to start this push for these larger Abody muscle alternatives. Upstaged---is there an "official" or preferred website for this club/these cars?
300 Hurst I will try to post more pictures (bigger / better resolution) this week. My computer skills are limited at best. To my knowledge, there was 1 (one) convertible built and three hardtops with the Hurst sunroof. 1 sunroof car is known to survive. No 4-speeds were ever produced according to the 300 registry. When I have taken the Hurst to car shows, most people aren't sure exactly what it is. The original sticker price of the car was around $6000.00 in 1970 money. Some additional information on these cars can be obtained @ Chrysler300@yahoogroups.com or the 300 club @ www.chrysler300club.com. I will respond to all of the PM's tomm. or Thursday with an answer to the inquiries. My 1968 Camaro listed on this forum also has the small pictures that I attached. Thanks for the comments and interest. Upstaged in Michigan.
If you have any trouble with the pics just email them to me full sized and I'll put them up! Frank rivierags@gmail.com
