Does anyone have thier original window sticker for thier 70 X? My question is would N41, fast ratio power steering be called out as an extra cost option for $121. And would "special paint" be called out as well?
Thanks for the input. I'm working with someone on a window sticker. Olds guy thst is delving into Buick stickers.
Send him my email address, maybe I can help him Unfortunately it may end up in my Spam email folder that I never check
...we're lucky to already have an in-house source for high-quality repro Buick Monroneys that now even have "sprocket holes." Why re-invent the wheel, unless you want more accuracy than the universally accepted 8 1/2 x 11s. That's a topic for another thread...
Jason is looking for an "aged" look sticker which I soon will offer. I did see a few of my stickers that Randy Lutz aged on his own that came out very nice. Its a free market but I do appreciate the interest the Buick community has had in my reproductions. The Old's guy will need to learn on his own on what is right and wrong when making Buick stickers. I am still tweaking them after 20 years of making them
I have my original window sticker. I can post a picture tomorrow. The sticker is in the car, in the trailer, I am unloading in the morning. PM me if I forget!
...there are a number of paper aging articles on net, most common involve tea/coffee. I believe I even saw "aged" 8 1/2 x 11 paper for sale. It can also be done with good ol' Photoshop (layers). As for "learning," forms are different by year, available IBM 1403 font is missing some needed characters. Last 6 of VIN are stamped, not printed. And on and on...
Here are a couple pictures of my window sticker. They are not the best as the sticker is faded after 51 years. I will reread your questions above and see what I can tell from the sticker as you may not be able to read them well enough. I can't get the second picture to upload. I will take it again and retry uploading. Jim
