    Hey All-
I am selling my 1970 Buick GS 350. A Numbers matching California car I bought in NY in 2004. I have since put 3400 miles on it. Unmolested!
It has 104,000 miles on it and every original GS emblem, red-stripe rocker panel trim, GS aircleaner, hood etc.

It was last registered in California in 2004 and it sure looks it. Garaged all of the time I have owned it.

I grew up in upstate New York and had a 1972 Skyklark in highschool. (1982-84) The underside of this car is the cleanest I have ever seen.

When I bought the car my older brother (also a GS guy), and I changed the brake system from manual drums all around to power assisted front disc. I also added a Trans Am front sway bar (thicker). These changes were made with real GM parts as described by George Nenadovich on this forum and his personal pages. Car also has a B&M shift improver kit.

Car is Seamist Green with a green bench seat interior, column shift. It is an AC car though the system is not functioning it is all there.

It drips oil and has some easily remedied rust spots- paint is 6 years old and still looks good. In the pics you will see rust spots on the trunk lid. A new aftermarket trunk lid comes with the car.

I have a photobucket file which is not password protected here:

    Underside: http://s692.photobucket.com/albums/vv289/LegendarySM/1970 Buick GS350/Underside/

The car is in Plymouth, MA. You could drive this or use it as the basis for a restoration project. When I moved here I drove it 6 and a half hours with no drama. I put 30 miles on it Monday and Tuesday this week- again no issues.

The price is a fair and firm $6500.00

PM me if I can answer any questions or provide additional photos.

I'm thinking thats a heck of a price in my opinion. Wish it was for sale when I bought mine last summer. I don't think you will have a problem selling. Looks like a nice ride nice to me.

Gary- thanks for the complement. I think the price is fair. It is slightly more than I paid 6 years ago- before cap, rotor, wires, carb rebuild, shift kit, sway bar, disc brake mod.

Yours is a 4 speed car remember....

Gotta love this view: the road from over the best looking hood scoops ever designed.

George,I appreciate your offer:grin: . The car looks alot like one a board member from my area had for sale a while back. His was the same color from California and had non matching seats. Column shift sport wheel and either non matching motor or trans. I asked Steve and he said he didn't think it was the car. The photobucket really shows a lot on this car and I don't think too much is left unseen. I just sold that 67 GS 400 and may just want a driver....my mind changes daily. Like I said, thanks George and I'll let you know if I need you to check it out for me:)

I am looking for a bucket seat car that is somewhat close. This car is a good buy though. I may be convinced to grab it if I can iron out a few details...:spank:

I agree. If I didn't have the Stage, I would be down there. Very nice color combo, very clean frame (as those of us from New England can appreciate) and a bench with fold down arm rest. Very, very nice!

Looks like a nice car for the money. I wish it was closer to my location to look at. Time is a problem for travel for me right now.:beer

    Slamjob-
I do have a set of bucket seat CORES and steering column for a floor shift that are included.

These are junkyard parts and would need work- but I collected them just in case.

Other parts included- chromed instrument cluster and the portion of the dash that goes beneath the column, set of NICE stainless vinyl top trim. I already mentioned that a new aftermarket trunk lid is included.

Other parts that are for sale but not included: 455 block, TH400 short tail shaft, engine mounts, fan radiator shroud etc for the 455 swap should it be desired at some point.

Drive down here and check it out.....:)

Are there any rust issues at all? I have an interested party so I can let you know by Sunday night

    Rust issues-

Yes there are some areas with rust.

At one time the rear window must have been leaking- because if you lay on your back inside the trunk and look up you will see two rust holes. The rust is on the panel where the torsion springs for the trunk lid attach. Each of these holes is less than half the size of the palm of your hand. That is the most serious area of rust on this car.

The rear window area repair looks great and is at least 6 years old.

Trunk floor- as a result of the same leak the trunk floor has a layer of corrosion. I would bet that sandblasting it would produce some pin holes.

Battery area- The area beneath the battery is corroded. The battery tray needs to be replaced and the front end of the passenger side fender would need some metal work. Again a small area.

When the car was painted it appears that some body work was done in the front fenders- lower edge just forward of the doors. When you tap here - you hear the ring of metal- so bondo used was minimal. A magnet will stick to every inch of the exterior of the car.

Above the driver and passenger doors- some evidence of past rust repair is re-appearing. You can see this in the Exterior photo's linked in my first post.
Having grown up in the rust belt this was an odd place for a car to rust??
Again I believe sandblasting would result in holes requiring some metal patches.

The trunk lid has that same evidence of past rust- but the car comes with a new trunk lid to resolve that when the time comes.

The floors, core support etc in this car are beautiful. If you grew up in the Northeast- its kind of amazing.

Here are some pictures- they will show the rust I am describing in the trunk. In all of these pictures the Orange color is a lot more obvious than to the eye. It makes the car appear to be more rusty than it is. None of the pictures are edited in any way.

Here is the shot beneath the battery-

That is the ugliest stuff about this car.

If you require more or better pics of any part of the car- send me a PM.

Oh- and I should mention that all of these pictures were taken in the last 4-5 weeks. They represent the car accurately.

I spent the day with Steve and this car. It is truly amazing underneath. The original brake and fuel lines look absolutely perfect, even after 40 years! This is a clean car, and drives down the road well (I had it up to 80 mph) and was smooth and comfortable. The doors shut well and they don't sag at all. I very nearly bought this car, but in the end decided that I could probably purchase a turn-key 455 car for less total money than what I would spend to convert this car. This may be a decision that I regret because I still haven't found another car.

If you want to talk about this car with an unbiased third party, send me a PM and I'll PM you my phone number.

Best of luck with the sale Steve.
