I know this car and saw it when he first got his hands on it. This is a super nice car period. The only color combo better on a GS is Aqua Mist with white. :beer

I love the fact that this car is an original MN car purchased @ Swanberg-Scheefe Buick. I remeber going to that Buick dealer as a kid and my Dad having his cars services there. I believe it was in NE very close to Downtown Minneapolis.

I remeber there being mutiple levels of show area, and there was a elevator that could carry the cars up and down from the different floors. This is right accross the street from Surdyks and is now been converted to loft condos and trendy shops. Not much of the old Minneapolis left, and that statement triggered a few memories:ball:

Wish I had some Extra cash, even though it is a 350 I like it

Sorry no offense 350 GS guys. I just was stating that the 350 cars, kind of like my 74 GS are not the first choice of most people looking for a GS.

Just keeping it real, I personally like all Buicks:laugh:

But this car is really nice, and in many ways the 350 is a much more driveable vehicle. Not as hot and easier on fuel. I will choose my words more carefully next time.

I know what you meant. :beer

I am a small block guy so the thought of taking a SBB out of a GS to put in a BBB makes me cringe.

I think $13000 plus. The positive is condition and color. The negative is the bench seat.

I liked the triple brown of Jim's car so much I bought one just like it.:beers2:

    Yeah,
    Gotta yuppify everything.
I wonder what happened to that great neon Buick sign that hung out front?
Looked like it may have been as old as the early 40's.

reviving this really old thread because I think I might now be the owner of the car refered to here.
I am in Melbourne Australia and I bought it a few months back from a guy down here who had owned it for 6 - 7 years. I'd really like to know the history of this car, not only the original ownership history but also what engine upgrades were done and at what mileage. Also, it's been repainted at some point and it would be a great help to get the paint code for the current silver color. Is anyone in the group able to help with this information ?

Duane Hickman on here can decode your build sheet posted there for a small fee, however he can't tell you the history after it was made.:bglasses:
