Yes non A/C-thanks for the pic Jason. Helps me ID what i'm looking for exactly. More that a couple pieces were cast or stamped that year in unobtainium. Thanks all-I still need one if anyone has one to part with-Thanks! Scott

The brackets fit both small bock and big block. There are two types- the short one and the long one. The short one fits 69 and 70. The long ones one in your picture fit 71 and 72 350 and 455.

The Holy Grail. Not sure how the long for 350 and short for 455 thing got started? Assembly manuals are pretty clear that they are used for all V8 not engine size for the specific years as Jason correctly mentioned. Check the yards for non AC 70 skylarks guys. I found my short one on a junk yard 70 350 skylark for 5 bucks. Dumb luck. Good luck!

For another bit of trivia the bracket was held on by a very short plain grade 5( three hash marks)Hex headed 3/8" bolt that was zinc plated and not black. A washer was also used. It is the exact same part number bolt used on the back of the passenger head to hold the ground strap. They used the zinc for a better ground. I don't know why they used the same bolt but they did. The ground strap bolt is a good one to get as they were used on every car if you want the correct head marking.

Many of you hot weather state guys have never seen one of these in an original car I bet. I could have had dozens if these 15-20 years ago.

Wheelz, for some reason California is the one exception. My Gsx from Cal had no AC and I have seen a bunch of others delivered there that were non air. Must be the dry heat?

Scott... I replied to your PM.
ALSO, If you are NOT inna super hurry, I have a metal fabricator who I would like to take this part and have them look into manufacturing a few of these out of steel and NOT unobtainium materials, LOL!

I would reeeely like to purchase a 69 4 speed TRANNY LINKAGE BRACKET ( a flat piece with a 1 inch dimple, attaches to the lower tranny cover bolts) they might also help make a few of those as well.. (illistration attached)
