haha oh this is funny Alan Read the post above CJP69

Dave Tumas is to say the least EXCELLENT at the art of restoration on many parts. His attention to detail is not matched by many. Dave has been kind enough to do a few parts for me in the past and his work is impeccable.

Can you tell I like his work  Shameless plug being I am sure I will be asking him for help with my Stage 1 sometime in the future

I was bidding on this for a local buyer thats not internet savy. Imagine when I called him and told him the plastic radiator shroud is over our bid which I told him might happen. I don't think he believed me and asked if I thought there was shill bidding going on. I explained that these were very hard to find and he might now have to bid around 500 to get it.
Since he is primarily into Mopars I think he knows something about shill bidding :) Those Mopar guys do it all the time LOL
Whomever out bid us well enjoy. I think we are going to get a repop

IThere have been 7 unique bidders (three of them have outbid you John), and I only know the identity of two of the 7. 1, is John, who I can identify becuase he said he was first to bid and he also said he bid $200, and the second is another board member from Canada who contacted me a few days ago and asked if the auction was set up to allow Canadian bidders. I told him I had no idea, but to place a slightly higher bid ($155) and see if it worked (it did). The other bidders all appear to have Buick related names but I do not know who they are based on their id's.

I can assure everyone that there hasn't been (and won't be) any shill bidding on this auction and that neither Brian or I have asked anyone to bid on this (other than the above incident).

I was contacted by approx. 10 people (before the auction) who expressed interest in buying this in a private sale outside of eBay. Brian and I had no idea what it was worth, and as much as we didn't want to pay eBay fees, we didn't want to be put in a position of picking one person over another (several of them were friends) so we listed it on eBay. Currently there are 27 watchers.

    Thanks, Chris

Chris, I never thought for a second you guys would go that route. MOPAR guys think all GM stuff should be cheap and when they sell a grille for a Charger or Cuda thats busted in 6 pieces and missing parts its a great deal for 1K

At $382, I wish I would have, lol, I was thinking the same as Alan. The part was won by a board member here and is going to a good home!
