SR coded 455 core motor(turns but has not been apart)No carb or accessories but has front cover, oil pan and intake.

    BA coded Turbo 400.

Both from world's rustiest GS 455 Coupe. The car has been inside for 6 years now and is gradually being dismembered to let others live. Everything on the car has been numbers matching so far so I have no doubt all components are, I know it is SR/BA.

I don't have all the dates and the SR doesn't really show up in the photo but if there is an interest I will dive in to the number thing. The car was built in 1969 for a November delivery.

For someone with a missing drivetrain in their 70 project.

I can deliver within 500 miles of minneapolis for cheap.

    $650/offer.

partial trades also: 1969 only red 16" sport steering wheel, #5335 shifter handle are needed.

Need money/need space for the project I am actively working on so I am getting rid of some extra stuff over the next couple of weeks.

    Chris,

I'd be interested if the VIN on the block and TH400 match. Can you check?

    Thanks,
    Donny

Donny's up to bat. Will have the rest of an extremely rusty shell after I take my parts off of it, though I don't know what would be useable off it. The frame is rusted through in several places.

Donny are you out there? You contacted me first so you are first in line.

Guy: I will get the build date off the tag. I think the delivery date at Plaza Buick in St. Cloud was 11-15-1969.

    I have some documentation too.

Chris - The car I brought back from Texas last weekend is a bit bigger project than I thought. I'll defer to the next in line on yours. Thanks

    CRob has passed,

Guy is up. It has been too cold here to even go back in the shop for pictures of what is left. I will have some up by tomorrow I hope as it is finally supposed to be above zero.

I will PM you as well, Guy.

Guy is up and here are some photos, though they are crappy.

My low temp flouresent lights are still on partial holiday.

    Build date is 11C.

You can't see it but the VIN stamping on the block is visible and matches the VIN in the dash. The trans tag photo did not turn out but it is a BA code with the VIN stamped in it.

This motor will be less the AC parts which I need and alternator but will have the distributor.

Does the "KAN" on the vin tag indicate it was built in Kansas City? If so, were the Buicks built at the Fairfax or Leeds plant?

They are from the Leeds plant. I have the body broadcast sheet from the car in my safe deposit box. My other 70 GS 455 Coupe is also a Leeds built car from November. I am at 120% for broadcast sheets from the leads plant. Every 1970 Leeds built car I have had had the sheet in it, plus 2 sheets for El Caminos that followed the car I had. (no back seats to put them in?)
