Found this one interesting as it is painted like just like we painted my buddy's car and he also has owned his since 1972 !!!! Looks like the wrong rear bumper on it , at $ 60 K you would think they could find a 70 bumper. Clean looking car though. Not a fan of the rear spoiler stripe design. https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/cto/6179815579.htm
Saw this car at a huge show at Nantasket Beach a couple weeks ago. The guy's shop is in Whitman and he claims it's a numbers car. I noticed the wrong bumper as well as a couple other things that should be addressed for that money.
Definitely needs to lose that bad striping job and get a correct hood latch that's cad plated and not black.
Thanks Phil for the new link. Looks like a lot of work into the car but possibly done by a non buick guy ?
I was made aware of this car by a local friend a couple months ago. Apparently, it was stored - in pieces - in a barn at the old dog track in Raynham. After talking to the guy who did the resto, it turns out this was the same car. The shop is about 20 minutes from me and he also had a barn find GTO Goat at the show.
I wonder if a true buick machine shop rebuilt the motor ? Way off my game Brett , when I was younger and had 3 0r 4 GS's at a time , I knew where they all were. Complete cars , parts cars , motors , skylarks and GS cars. Not many around these days
I did as well. I'm glad you decided to hold on to yours. You should go to Jim Shiels' Buick picnic in August.
