The vehicle has the original motor and transmission with new dual exhaust. The motor is a stock 455 with 370hp and 510ft lb of torque, it has been rebuilt and runs excellent. The Wildcat has been repainted and the interior is in exceptional condition for its age and is all original. The Wildcat even has the original owners information including the dealer warranty card. The Wildcat also appears to have the original spare tire. If you are interested or would like additional information please call 763-Two Hundred -Three 873. [SUB]This thing is located close to where I work. I may try and see it next week. I will see if I can figure of it's the original engine or not.[/SUB]
I would never make a post without knowing for sure. Any person interested can talk to me about the car. I am not downing it at all, It is a real good Wildcat.
It's a great looking car, I was simply pointing out that he is advertising it as having the original engine, and you said that isn't possible because the numbers matching engine to that Wildcat is in your 64.o No:Right?
IIRC Mike sold to a dealer here in the Seattle area (Sean, aka Seattle Classics), who sold it on ebay to a board member, Alecat. I know when Mike sold it, it was a non numbers matching 455 (but it was a correct 70 motor as I recall). Not sure what it was advertised as by Sean, as it was too long ago to pull up the ad.
The Heads, intake, carb, dist are original. Short block is a 1735 and was rebuilt. The original motor had a couple of broken pistons. To much timing I suspect. The first fellow I sold it to had it painted. I ended up buying the car back and then sold it to Sean. With a nice set of buick wheels.
