Looks like a very nice car. I think he should remove the "caution" sticker off of the fan shroud and get the hood latch done properly with yellow cad plating.

This is the car that sold out of Michigan(I think) on Ebay a couple years back, before the restoration........................

I think they bought it out of Ohio, IIRC.

If you go to You Tube and search on "Scared Shiftless Buick" you can see a number of videos of the restoration, and see all the things that were not done "Buick correct".

I believe they want north of $200k for the car.

It's a beautiful car , flaws and all . At $200K I couldn't even consider it . I would have to live in it when my wife found out .

Must be a dealer. Nobody else would write that overblown kind of description.

Very flowery prose indeed. Like overindulging in chocolate. I noticed the incorrect decals as well. No Idea why people insist on using those cooling system decals on the radiator cover? I never saw one on an original car. Ever. The Caution Fan decal made me laugh too.

As I recall, there were 19 possible Black 44667 cars.. I believe there was no breakdown that included both interior/exterior/top colors and STG 1 option.

It's cool that there is another one, too bad it's original drivetrain is missing.. that hurts it collectablity..

Here is the other one, that is documented and was restored in 2006/7

I have posted about this car before. Guy who is selling it (at least the owner, not the restorer) had the goal of owning a Stage 1, W-30, and Judge convertibles. He tried to buy mine, but we could not agree on price. I guess his troika of 1970 hi-po ragtops has not come to fruition after all?

Anyway, I think my original post was also about the "1 of 2" claim, as I had understood it was possible to know how many black cars were built or black interiors the combination of both with the Stage 1 was probably not possible to determine without going through all the invoices, which is probably an impossibility.

yeah, thread thread is wrong too , it incorrectly says 11, It's actually 26 . And if 26 seems rare it's only the 11th lowest Flint Convertible color so it actually isn't that " rare" at all. Now Tealmist Grey, Sunset sage those colors are rare.

Miss information like this is just bad for our hobby. What a nut job. First he gets the stg2 package wrong for 1970. And second, NO stg2 components were ever delivered in the trunk with any vehicle...ever.

Not to mention that the paperwork he was trying to recover is the body shop inspection, and would in no way reflect options beyond those installed by Fisher Body. These "experts" seem to think that if it was done a certain way on a Chevy, that all GM divisions followed suit. I understand his excitement over the car, but he has no business making wild assumptions about it.

I've chatted with the restorer in the video and he seemed like a nice enough guy.

If there are some issues with the video, have one of you posted comments on YouTube?:Smarty:

Yeah...you're probably right and I shouldn't be calling anyone names.

I just find myself beating my head against the wall, trying to debunk all the false information that's out there of the Stg2 program.
