    John,

Ok I feel like an idiot since you're looking for a '70, but you never know... I have a '71 in the condition you describe. I need to sell one of my Skylarks since I'm moving and can't do any major car stuff for a while, and the other is my driver.

The car is Fire Red, just painted, and has absolutely no rust issues anywhere except needing a little attertion at the batt/inner fender area. It looks like someone patched it at one time. It's a bench seat column auto non-air car and comes with the original engine disassembled in the trunk. Got a clear title and docs (portect-o-plate), and it needs an interior restoration. I have deluxe front/back door panels/arm rests in good condition just needing a little cleaning, and the front bench needs to be recovered white to match the rest but otherwise it's in good shape. All of the parts are still off the car from paint; bumpers, bezels, grille (not in great shape), door locks, mirrors, back winow needs installed, etc. but it's almost all there. Might need some window trim and other minor stuff, and I could throw in some chrome or sport mirrors. It has a rad but it's not correct (from a Pontiac I think) and it needs the top support piece, but I have a shroud. I don't have any pics but I could send you some tonight after I get home if you're interested. I'd be asking $1800 for it.

I'm on the east coast but about 1000 miles from you, so I don't know how far you're looking to go, just let me know!

Ok. My garage is DAMN full right now so I'll roll her out and take pics. I'm gonna probably try to take most everything out of the trunk so I can get some good pics of the pan. Everything looks cool from a walk-around but I haven't jacked it up and rolled around underneath for a detailed look. I'll see what I can do tonight.

Oh man now I'm depressed. I actually went over this car really well tonight and it made me out to be a liar. The rear deck is rusted and needs replacing, there are pinholes in the back window channel, the trunk is COMPLETELY shot, so bad that water got down and started rusting the rear of the frame where the bumper attaches. The back left part of the frame probably needs repair. The last thing is that I pulled up parts of the carpet and checked underneath really good, and there are rust holes on the driver's side floor pan so that needs to be patched. Otherwise, there is surface rust pretty much everywhere underneath.

I still took pictures of everything except the engine compartment. I kind of stopped after a certain point because I was going to cry. Shame on me for not checking it out better, good thing I didn't blow too much on the purchase and parts yet. The price I named is pretty much what I spent so far.

I checked the engine block to double verify that it is NOM, not that it matters so much with a plain ole' Custom, but I thought it was a nice compliment to the documentation.

John, I put this car up for sale locally last night along with my other. I really need to sell one of them, preferably before the end of the month but you got first shot at it. Just let me know if you're interested ASAP, there are others interested already.

    Thanks.

No problem John, my fault that I didn't check it better. Hope you find a decent car, I know you've been looking for a while.
