Hi, I need a stage 1 or gs455 bellhousing with the correct part number for my 1970 gs stage 1 4 speed. Any help would be much appreciated.
Matt, I have one I pulled from a 70 BB car I've been considering selling. I was keeping it for a spare for my 2 cars, but can't see needing it. I can check the part number on it tomorrow. Jeff
Great, just PM me or email me a price. My email is MATTL38829@yahoo.com. Thanks very much and just let me know when you check the part number.
Matt. . FYI I have an extra Buick-Olds-Pontiac bellhousing which 68-75 use the same housing. :3gears: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Matt, the one I have is the same as the 2 on my cars. I can't find the numbers, although it is dirty and I'm not sure where they're located. Any idea? Jeff
Jeff and anyone else. . the numbers are cast into the bell on the "fork" side, viewed from the outside, on the round starter hump area. Maybe an inch IN from the edge. Make any sense? If ya still cant find them send me a direct email and I'll send you a pix..:beers2: ..Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Thanks Wheelz. I need to clean the whole thing eventually, but figured I'd start in the right spot. Jeff
I actually need the clutch fork and everything else to bolt the transmission to the engine. Plus Ive got to get the transmission from wheelz If anyone has this whole assembly then Ill just buy it all if I can. Ill get the clutch and pressure place from summit though.
Matt, not sure where you are on needing one anymore, but the part number cast on the one I have is 9785581. Jeff
Im actually waiting to hear back from Mr. Lore on a bellhousing that he has. What is the correct part number for a 70 4 speed bellhousing for a 455? Im not sure.
I bought a tranny from wheelz and he also had an extra bellhousing, so I just bought it as well. How much for the fork and ball pivot? Thanks very much for helping.
