i thought the auto cars got 3.42s and the stick cars got 3.64s would a switch pitch conversion hurt the value of the car? either way that thing is sweet.

    A/C = 3.42 and Non - A/C = 3.64 in '70

Was this originally a bench seat, standard interior car?

I talked to the son about eight months ago and seems like he would be a nice person to deal with. If I remember it was a bench seat car.

In 1970 Non AC Stage 1 cars received 3.64 Posi Rear Axle.

In 1970 AC equipped Stage 1 cars received 3.42 Posi Rear Axle.

Is the light in the center of the headliner correct? I have never had anything but the sail panel lites in every 70-72 hardtop

Yes, it was originally a bench seat car. Buckets were put in over 25 years ago so we left them. We believe the light in the center to be correct since that is how the original headliner was set up. The interior shop just copied it when they put the new one in. Also responding to PM'S. Thanks!

Standard interior had dome light in roof.

Deluxe interior had dome lights in sail panels.

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Appears to be Deluxe interior to me.

What happened to Wheel Opening and Rocker moldings?

I have them in my garage. No need to have something else on the car to trap dirt and moisture.

The door panels and back seat and back seat panels are the original panels. So if that dome light theory is true that means before my dad got the car they must have added the dome light. Which is probably what happened. Too bad we did not know about the added domelight before we did the headliner. Oh well.

This car has interior code 121 which is the standard no cost black straight bench seat interior. That 121 no cost interior came with centre roof dome light.

At some time, this car has been converted to a blue deluxe interior with bucket seats. The door panels are correct to a blue deluxe interior optioned car but are are not original to this car.
The originals would have been the plain simple door panel with small armrest.

    This should address everyone's questions.
