I have had this car for about 9 years now. I took the front clip off and had the inner fenders, core support, hood hinges, and several other parts powder coated. I took the dash bezel out to have redone but never sent it out. I also have an extra dash bezel for it, all with pointed lenses. I dont believe the car was a Stage 1, and I believe it was possibly Brown originally. It has a borg warner T-10 4 speed and 3:42 - 10 bolt posi. I think it needed clutch work and the timing cover and bottom end of the engine were just ok. But the valve train seemed really good. I have an extra 1975 Buick Electra 455 with 70k miles on it from air cleaner to bottom and all the accessories still on it. I was going to use the bottom end when I rebuilt the engine. I also have an extra, nice set of rockers arms on the shafts. It has new wheels, new centers, new tires, gas tank needs some work, I have a new front bumper for it, the old one is pretty good too and the back one on the car is decent. Air worked fine when I took it apart, and the system has not been opened the condenser was set up on the air cleaner. It has a tach on the hood painted to match the car. The driver Buick mirror was taken apart and rechromed. I have a brand new nice brake booster in the box, a brand new drive shaft with universal joints…I also have an extra, original buick passenger inner fender like new. Just too much to list. All bolts etc. were bagged and labeled. Would not be hard for anyone to reassemble. $18500.
Rick- Just want to make sure it is clear... $18,500 as the car sits in the first picture- apart? Thanks.
Yes it is apart, assembled pictures are shown to illustrate the condition of the entire car, the fenders are hung in the shed and hood is leaning with a blanket on it.
All of the extra parts will go with the sale of the car so that the buyer can use their preference during assembly.
The car is very clean, frame is very nice, I would paint the firewall, there is a new 2.5" exhaust with shorty headers and flowmaster mufflers. The powder coated parts have a very nice finish, with various shades of black (flat, satin, and gloss). This car would not take much to finish. Lots of new parts, even the engine would be fine to run, except I would probably get a new timing cover with better oil pump. It is apart because I wanted an awesome cam with the 4 speed and wanted to detail the engine bay. The best thing would be to take the 1975 bottom end I have and use the heads that are on the car now. I am selling because my parents are in financial trouble and I have to purchase a property of theirs to help.
Dont know if i feel comfortable putting the vin on the internet, but i will answer any questions about it, when i bought it i verified it was GS 455 and i think that is where i may have saw a code for brown.
Yes, true, originals were Muncie, this is why I call out the Borg Warner, and I also call out that I have the proper 4 speed speedometer to be installed into the car. There are no secrets with this car.
