    Hi Everyone,

I live in the Netherlands and am the proud owner of a Buick Skylark 350 for over 2 years now.

I have recently found the engine casting numbers behind the power steering pump and I am wondering if it is the original engine for this car since only the first two digits are different from the frame number.
Can anyone help me with this?

    The frame number is: 435370Z123652
As far as I know, this means that it is indeed a 70 Skylark 450

From the engine I can read/guess the number is: 340Z123652
So only the 37 in the frame number is a 34 in the engine number and I dont know if this is correct.

I also found the number in between the exhaust manifold and the #1 and 3 spark plugs. This one is: SO 457

Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean exactly and if they are correct for this car?

    Thanks a lot,

    Bardo

I believe that u have matching #s because the last six digits match the last 6 of the frame which should match the last 6 of the vin.
