I bought new ones from Legendary and they are too short, only 13 in. long and the 70 s are over 17 in
Armrests I bought a new set of chromed plastic armrest backings that are too long for my 67. I'll measure them tomorrow and tell you what they are, and where I got them. I might need the 13" ones. Michael Dyer Clinton, OH
I believe the ones he needs are for 17" only which means 69-70 only. The 71-2 versions are 12" so the ones from the 71 offered are 12" and will not work. Here are the ones he has like this auction, included is the backing plates! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...d=1,1&item=8033028472&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT
Billy, Does your '70 already have backing plates that you are replacing? I installed a set in my '71 & found out the door operator mechanism will need to be changed if the car currently is without them. The rod that the handle attaches to is longer on the cars with the backing plates.
Armrests I checked, the ones I have that don't fit are too short 11", bag says, "FT A/R Bases 62-67 GM Chrome Plastic" Year One RF221. Sorry I couldn't help. Michael Dyer
