I was just wondering, my dad has a 70 Stage 1 GS, but has a 71 Stage 1 short block that we installed, all of the parts (including the heads) are from the 70 motor. Will there be any difference in the HP/torque on the 71 motor? Does anyone have the specs on the two camshafts, or were they the same? Thanks, Scott
I'm not sure about whether the cams are differnt between 70 and 71, most likely they are. However, the 71 will be a lower compression engine so there will be a power loss there over the 70 stg-1 shortblock.Jim Burek
