Hello all, this is my first post and I figured it would be a great place to get started. I am looking to purchase my first Buick. I decided earlier this year that I wanted my son to grow up working on cars like I did, fortunately (and somewhat unfortunately) my cars now rarely need anything more than routine maintenance.... So with the advice from a few of my buddies, as well as my own research, I have decided that I will purchase an older car that the two of us can work on and spend time building it. I think this will be good for the whole family sine my wife is also into cars. I decided that car will be the early 70's GS. What I am interested in: Ideally, a driving project that is not a rust bucket. I'm also not too interested in a completely restored car, that would defeat the intended purpose and likely be well outside of my initial target price. I would need something within 3 to 4 hours of St Louis MO since shipping expenses would be factored in... I prefer a 455 engine but it's not required, and I like a hardtop vs ragtop. Manual or auto, doesn't matter. Let me know if you have anything that fits. Thanks Edit: I'm willing to look at any car within the US, since I've found that shipping prices were not as high as I first assumed.
Have you checked out the "Cars For Sale" forum on this board? There are a couple of cars, don't know if they've sold.
