I have a spare long console emblem that I was thinking of selling but had the typical cigarette burns in it. I decided that I would try and sand/polish them out and had really good success in that regard. Unfortunately there is some discoloration in the black area underneath. Has any had good success in fixing up that part of it and what did you do?
Get the metal back off the emblem. Clean up the old glue as best you can. Respray the black from the rear side. I used flat black on mine, turned out reasonably nice.
