For $10 you too can have a 1970 455 block. Good looking block, not cracks or anything. Was running when pulled from car. The only issue is with cylinder #6. It suffered ring bounce problems. See last post for more details. See pics.
I will be there saturday deboning a 68 GS 400; I will pm my number for you to call to pick it up.Mark
'70 455 block still available. I took it down to a local automotive machine shop and the checked the cylinders and he said a .060 over on the bores will clean them up fine.
I do not plan on being in PO anytime soon otherwise I would put it out to pasture with some other blocks I have in the shop. Maybe this weekend? What is the block stamp on it? (next to the oil dipstick hole on between 5&7? Mark
Hello Mark, Sorry I forgot to post the answer to your question. The stamp on the block is SF 121 I'm home today until 5:00 tonight and am home all day Sunday and Monday. Thank you
I wouldn't even begin to know how to ship something like this. But I think the shipping cost will be higher then you'd want. Maybe someone making a trip from Washington State to Salinas area in CA could help us out? Thank you,
Spring break coming soon...anyone going through washington want to visit the beautiful california coast!? C'mon
To bad I didn't know you wanted this sooner. I drove down to San Francisco this late January. Could have brought it that far.
