    Hi guys,what kind of compression is normal for a 1970 two barrel 350, not running right and i have checked everything else,Tanks Chris :TU:

    There was a 2 and 4 bbl with 9.0:1 SCR, and then the GS350 that year had 10.25:1 SCR.

    Its "rated" @ 9 to 1.chances are high that actual measurement will show closer to 8.4 if it has steel shim head gaskets. If those have been replaced 8.1. Compression psi could be about 125-145 psi

    Gaskets have been replaced with whatever napa sells,I am doing a compression test as i think i have a valve problem and i kinda asked the question backwards anyway.I think 125/145 was the numbers i needed,Thanks again :TU:

    120/130 psi all around so that is one less thing to check.I checked when the engine was cold if this matters :TU:

    hot is better to test but unless you have a running problem ,you should be ok
