George can you please hold a set for me? A friend of mine needed a set, I am contacting him today to see if he still does! Thanks, Chris
heres a bump from a happy purchaser of these x-bars. Great repro piece and extremely reasonable considering how hard finding the straight bars are.
george I'll take the last set if they will fit my car. Its a very early 71 ( sept 1970 build date). I am at sea right so i can't check the drier but i do know that it is not original, it was changed when the converted it to R134a, but from memory its about 12 inches long and about 21/2 inches in diameter. Does that sound like your bars will work?
Sounds like you have the long/skinny drier..so the x-bars will work. Email me direct with full name, address and home ph for FedEx HomeDelivery......thanks! GStage1@BuickPerformanceClub.com
George, I got home friday and the X braces were in the garage waiting for me, they look great. Thanks for getting these reproduced. I was wondering if you could offer some insight as to the fasteners especially the lower ends, was there some type of rubber isolator on there and what did it look like. if you could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.
Tom The threaded ends used a "washer-nut"....the edge of the nut has a built-in flare/washer...they are easy to find. Juan, I have an orig and a repro rod....$110/pr...email me direct thanks! GStage1@BuickPerformanceClub.com
Thanks for the assistance George, I had no braces when i bought the car so i had no idea what was there originally. The local hardware store near me has a great selection of fasteners I'll swing by there tomorrow and grab a couple of the nuts.
