1970-1972 GS Hood Wanted in decent shape.

I actually have one off of my 72 that i'm getting ready to post for sale. Hood is in great shape and is complete. Asking $1,500.00, let me know if interested. Located near Gettysburg PA

 

Depending upon how particular you are, you might want to specify if you're looking for a '70 vs. a '71-2 hood.

Difference is minor - '71-2 has a pop-up spring & there's a little pad/hole stamped into the underside to accommodate. When using w/ '71-2 grilles, the spring provides room to grab the hood.

 

The hood wasn't original to my 72, not sure what year it came off of, but here is some shots of it

 

Im in New Oxford not interested in just maybe get togather and talk where are you launching the car at dont know how old your picture
is but im guessing Mason Dixon 75/80 been closed for awhile and doesn't look like south mountian

 

Looks like a '70 hood but hard to tell for sure.

 

Im also in New Oxford...that picture is from Mason Dixon maybe 2 years ago. My set up is a little different now, i'll probably be at South Mountain this weekend

The hood is going on a 72, but I would be ok with 70 or 71 as well.

I am in WI close to the MN border by St. Paul. Too far to drive, but is shipping an option? What’s the most economical way to ship a hood?

 

That is quite the drive, i did do a quick Fed Ex LTL quote for a 3 day delivery, and not knowing your exact address and it said a crazy cost of 1200 plus dollars. I'm not sure its worth all of that for you...not very cost effective.

 

I’ll check with Fastenal. I’ve shipped things with them in the past. Not sure if a hood is too big, but they have good rates.

 

Bump- any 71 or 72 GS hoods in the mid-west?

Thanks for the lead. I talked to him. Some patches done on top, plus its a 70 hood.

Looking for a 71 or 72 hood that's in a bit better shape to start with.
