Found this on CL and went to take a look last night... Nice guy but the car is too rough for me...

I'm 99% its a Canadian built special deluxe and NOT a california GS.

Body is VERY rough, rust every where, quarters were rolled for bigger tires and then mega rust after that. Front fenders are crunched. Will need Quarters and Fenders for sure. Floor pans have some small holes but not many and the biggest was smaller than a business card. Didn't see trunk but was told it will need pans. Roof is good and almost no rust around rear window. Car did not have a vinyl top (hence NOT a CA GS). Roof in very good shape.

It does have a 69 GS Hood. It is in pretty good shape, has a dent at the front that was previously filled in, owner scraped out the bondo to bare metal, it will need filler but not bad at all. No rust on the hood that I saw. Does not have holes for the hood emblems.

It has a 1970 SF code 455 and a TH400 trans. Not sure about rear end, most likely original open diff. Did not hear engine run, he did not have carb for it, however it looked pretty clean inside and turned over.

Non A/C car, has the correct non a/c alternator bracket.

Would make a good drag car, glass up the rust and hit the track. Body not worth saving for a driver/show car.

He's asking $1300. He advertised it as a Skylark.
I figure the hood + engine is worth it.

Its located about 1.5 hours south east of Indianapolis or 1.5 hrs North East of Louisville.

Can't verify if it still has a 12 bolt or not, but fairly certain it is an open diff.

Thanks Dan. I wondered what a vented hood was. How close to Cincy is this fellow? You didn't come all the way from CA to look at this did you?
