I've got a 69 Skylark 350 2bbl with no A/C that has the less than adequate 4 blade fan with no clutch.

Would it be better to go with a 7-blade clutch fan from the wrecking yard (clutch will be replaced of course) or with a non-clutch flex fan from Hayden or Flex-A-Lite.

    Running a bit hot.

What condition is your fan shroud in?

I'm running a 4-blade fan on my car, and have no cooling problems. That includes in 90f+ weather.

The shroud is perfect. Brand new 3 row radiator.

The thermostat is a 195 degree. I think it should be changed out for a 180 or 160.

Use a 160 t-state. Buy a 7 blade fan w/thermostatic clutch. If you can not find a 7 blade local, I may be able to get one for you from the local salvage yard. Email me direct at GStage1@buickperformance.com
