Turned out pretty nice from where it was a month ago when I looked it. I see you were even referred to in the write up Mike! I wish I had local guys like you and his body/paint/detail guy here to flip cars around so quick. If I would have bought it would still be sitting, waiting to get the necessary work done it. Nice work!

Chris- is this the 69 that you had sent me pics on? Did a great job getting all of the door dings out... And I see they say it was rot free?!?!? I have pics of the ROT HOLE (not rust) on the drivers side lower quarter... :Dou::af: Good job was done on fixing that, too... I guess a rust hole is different than a rot hole... ???:confused:

Same car George, the ding repair guy looks like he did a nice job on it. I re-read the ad, and while there are some inconsistencies (and / or things left out) in what I saw and what the previous seller told me and what is included in the ad, I guess that can be chalked up to "salesmanship", as hardly anyone discloses everything they know about a car they are selling.

I re-read the ad, and he didn't say the car "was" rust or rot free. He said the car "is" rust free. since he fixed the rust the rust in the quarter, guess that is the case now? It is all in how you ask and answer a question sometimes.....

There aren't any close up pics provided of the drivers side quarter and wheelwell area, so you can't really tell how well it was repaired. But based on the appearance of the rest of the car, I would guess that it looks fine. The paint didn't match perfect before on that quarter anyway, since it had already been repainted previously.

Hey guys- I cut NO corners on that small rust spot repair on the lower front portion of the drivers side wheel lip area. Work performed by a highly respected shop. It was minor and as we all can plainly see, the car is as clean, dry and solid as they come so I had to rectify that isolated spot based on the remarkable condition of the rest of the car. Simply the typical drainage issue that causes that corrosion to develope there. All tiny door dings removed without drilling holes in the quarters. Tech was able to remove plastic vents at the door jamb and access them in that fashion. The paint on the car as well as the small area I had repainted turned out better than I had expected. Sometimes we get lucky. I knew it was a great car when I first saw it but the light reconditioning surpassed my highest hopes. The documentation was also a plus. I'm glad I thought to ask for it. Sometimes I keep them and sometimes I sell them but regardless, I am always honest and detailed when it comes to describing a 40+ year old car. I appreciate you catching that Chris and it's been nice to chat with you every now and then. I've always been a Chevrolet man at heart but because of my father's passion for Buicks and my extremely valued connection to Mike, the Bu's at starting to take over. It's a pleasure to meet you guys. Dave in Portland, OR.
