http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...Z6144QQitemZ4594009090QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW One good thing- it IS a 1969 GS 400 built in Canada (the 1 after the 9 should be a I) ou:
Oh Boy HA HA HA HA I can't take it no more   like he said it is arigonal ou: which means original, give me some Wasp spray.
is it that bad? ok,ok,i am a 64-65 guy so cut me some slack here the 69 i just got i had planned to build with a rear spoiler, with the gsx striping but blue and black, with stage 1 and california badging.i saw one on egay awhile back painted gto judge orange w/gsx stripe and thought it looked pretty nice o No: the wing on this one does look kinda funky from the back,i must admit.BUT,i wouldnt do it to a numbers matching piece of history ou: do you think it looks that bad,or are you slamming it cause its a true gs 400?
Take off the spoiler and side stripe. If you can get it priced right I could live with it. He spent alot of time filling in holes not to put the GS emblems on it. Also Skylark trim on trunk. o No:
....this is MY opinion As you stated, the rear spoiler looks good at any angle BUT where you see the ass-droop of the trunk section behind it, and thats ALOT of angles. This, to me, makes the whole thing not work. I've seen several '69's with spoilers on them - and almost ordered the spoiler kit from postons about 12 years ago myself- until I actually saw one in person. Every time I've seen it I've thought the same thing - it doesn't quite work. GSX Stripes - also as stated, it doesn't quite work at all with the swoopy body line along the side of the car. Now, If you followed the line, that might work. I've seen the center raised section of the 69 gs hood painted, and that looks better than the "X" treatment. I've got some "different" pics in my 68/69 collection at work I'll post tomorrow for you Again, this is MY opinion, which you asked for. I have NOTHING against you doing what YOU want with your car :beer as long as its not 22" dubs or severly cutting any metal
I always liked the ELKYX too, here's another ELKYW30 which is cool http://www.chevelles.com/elcamino/ec_442.htm
mike, thats the car that gave me the idea!!!the spoiler doesnt look too bad with the orange, but the gold one looks odd for some reason uzzled: no funky wheels for me,how about steelies painted body color with poverty caps? i love the xcamino, saw it in musclecar review a few years back, said they couldnt find the owner to talk about it :ball: now i know who owns it! the riv is cool also, but not my style.kinda has that mopar look at the back of the stripe o No:
69 is that your Buick of an unknown year with maybe an engine that may have tires??? California plates?
