I think not. The way it's worded it's a factory GS400 car with stage one badges and decals.

To be clear, I don't know this car, but I feel the wording is kind of clear?

The pics don't do this 69 justice. If you saw it in person you'd be in awe of the attention to detail Terry did. In Chicago he almost had a perfect score, if I recall he was only docked because the acorn nuts attaching the trunk chrome was the wrong shade of gray. BS.

George - Yes the GTO is pretty and almost completely done. Not as many NOS parts but quite a few. Will post pics once it’s done.

Car is NOT a Stage car ( if was would not be asking 75..lol) just a plain ole 4 Speed Convertible. And yes all the NOS parts listed below are on the car, over $29,000 worth and it even surprised me making the list. It’s basically a 50+ year old new car.

1969 Buick GS400 Convertible 4-Speed 1 of 213 made. Matching numbers Engine/Transmission. Car currently has Stage 1 hood emblems and Stage 1 Valve cover decals but is built to Stage 1 specifications but it not a true Stage 1 production car. This is a complete correct frame off concourse restoration with over $123,000 invested. Car was built with numerous NOS and original parts listed below. Restoration was completed in November 2019. Paint is as built Polar White (Code 50). I have the POP sheet and Computer Index card. I do have the build sheet from the gas tank unfortunately it is 5 vehicles off from a car ahead of this one. Car has won numerous awards and recognition which can be forwarded to the buyer. AACA awards can also be transferred to the new owner. Car will need a new speedometer cable as the current one is not working and the NOS sending unit for the gas tank was not calibrated correctly when I installed it as the gas gauge does not read correct when filled. I believe it reads about 3/8 to ¼ of what it supposed to. Everything on this car has been rebuilt and or restored down to nut/bolts. Who did the resto?

 

The only issue I see is that it's just too nice to drive.

I think I'd put it on BAT or even run it through Mecum. It might bring more than what you're asking.

 

I did Frame and all parts and all Assembly. Gary Paine did motor, DME did transmission, Jim in Ohio rebuilt the rear end. Everything was restored on this car, I have a spreadsheet of what went where. GSJoe did the body work and paint and dropped it on the completed frame I delivered.

Dano, you’re correct about driving it but I tried to build a car that basically came off the showroom and try to build the most original car as possible and I overachieved… lol. Sad part is I did the same thing to the GTO project.

After a week or so it may go to BAT

 

My Lord, that is a beautiful car. The white and black with dark red pinstriping, just classy and very clean looking. I'd ALMOST be afraid to drive it.

Incidentally, my parents had a white and black interior / vinyl top 68 GS400 hardtop from 68 thru 71. My dad bought the car while working part time selling cars at Chezik Buick in KCMO.
