Maybe the seller has the original wheels (all five of them!). The add stated that the Riv has a 455. Need details on the engine: did the seller bore out the original 430 to a 455? I like the cursive Buick Riviera emblems versus the block letter Riv emblems. As memory recalls, Buick did equip some the of the 69's with the cursive Riv emblems on the hood and trunk door. I see disk brakes at least on the brake pedal. It looks quite nice, but these cars always have a few warts.
Nice looking Riv but it may have a few issues. It has been floating around on CL for a few months now. Bob H.
My money says that hood is off of a '70. Not only does it have the name Riviera in cursive, it has the flatter center trim running down the middle. The donor hood I used on my '70 is from a '68. The pot metal piece on the front edge just needs to be switched over. I was originally going to keep the block letters because I do like them better over the cursive. I ended up filling those holes, and drilled holes for the cursive emblem. (I made a template from the old hood for positioning.) I did keep the taller center trim piece from the '68 on the hood because I like the look of it better too over the flat one used in '70.
