I just want to be sure everything would ok, Im buying motor with trans so I just want to make sure I can use the trans, especially since its just been rebuilt plus Im not even sure if my current trans is a 400 since the motor is a 340. Im going to investigate allitle more but I trully appreciate everyones help.

It will still use the center sump oil pan as Dave pointed out. All '67-'70 Rivs used it no matter the location of the steering linkage.

    Hello Tony,

Your Riv looks great with the Olive Beige paint. I take it that is the original paint. My Riv is also Olive Beige. I also like the cornering lamps and the authentic chrome wheels with the "R" spinners. :TU:

One thing to watch out for is on fullsize cars other than the Riviera, is that there are straight back and kick in style rear sump oil pans. Mostly pertains to 1967 Big Blocks. Straight back was for dual exhaust cars and the kick in was for single exhaust cars as the kick in was to provide clearance for the exhaust cross over. The straight backs are the most rare of the oil pans and you will mostly see the kick in pan which eventually was used on everything regardless of exhaust type. Reason I mention is because a novice could think a kick in rear sump is a center sump. This is where the TA Catalog comes in handy so you can get a good look at the differences.

Thanks, once I get motors swaped, I can start redoing the interior.
