A good thing for the 1968/1969 Buick Riviera if it sells for more then $20.000 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969...4851856?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2eb9273c10
That is a lot of money and the mileage is questionable. The underside of the hood looks like it had gone a lot further than 13,000 miles.o No: The interior while its nice doesn't look as sharp as it could. Maybe a better detail job would help. To much money in my estimation. Bob H.
It sure is a lot of money! The underside of the hood looks like this on a 1969 Riviera. If it had more miles you could see the insulation in the middle has been burned off more because of the exhaust pipe to the Air Filter Housing. I can see that under my hood that it's burned off more because of the mileage. I do think this car really only has 13.000 miles...but you have to see it live ofcourse. What about the factory installed tires? Old and dangerous rubbers right??
Here are a few pics of a 69 with less than 10k miles that is also for sale. Sandalwood interior. $29,500.
Wow...incredible! The buckskin or white interior looks brand new. No remote mirror... Also a Goodyear spare tire... No A/C...you don't see that very much. Is this a Canadian car?
No, I don't think so, it isn't widely advertised as far as I know. The owner took these pics for me yesterday.
I agree with William, too much money, but I am always amazed at these cars (of various makes) that have this extremely low mileage. I'm not doubting the mileage, just that they do have it. I guess someone either decides to just put in their garage after a year or 2 after it was a daily driver them, or they know it will someday have some collectible value in future. Maybe they just like the car and never want to part with it, or sentimental reasons, etc.... I guess it's like the story of the little old lady that just drove her car to the grocery store or beauty parlor only. I know they are out there, I just have never ran across one.
You are right...but I hope it will. I mean these cars are cheap compared to GS (Skylark) with these low miles.
Note from the seller: The paint is mostly orignal but it has been feathered in a couple of places due to cracking. You can't tell where it was done though. The interior is 100% original. The only item not working is the front speaker. Under the hood is mostly original as well except for one vacuum hose and a headlight actuator. I finally had to replace the valve cover gaskets last year as they were leaking big time. I have all the original tires as well. Pat - rivnut@carolina.rr.com Thanks, Chris
Hi Chris, Thanks for the note. Sounds like a terrific car! Hope she will go to a 1969 Buick Riviera lover...
They are both beautiful cars. I would take either in a heart beat! I think the 13,000 mile car is one advertised in the ROA Riview. Not to nit pick, but the first car has H-78 tires. I thought all non GS Rivs came standard with J-78's. GS H-70's.
