NOT MINE. Local car guy (not Buick guy) passed away in 2015 and his daughter is selling his GS. He bought the car in 2009 from a local, reputable muscle car dealer where I had it on consignment. IIRC, the car was frame off restored in the mid 90's by the second owner and was painted by "Indian Larry", and then was freshened up in the mid 2000's by David Roth in Maryland. Attached are some pictures from when it was listed at the dealer in 2009, current owner (Bob) hasn't driven it a lot since then. Here is link to the ad placed by the daughter with a couple of current pics: https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...port-for-sale-in-federal-way-washington-98023 1 of only 832 Stage 1 Coupes built in 1969 equipped with an automatic transmission. Owner is not a member here, and no need to "get in line", just contact her directly. I am happy to assist with the purchase if I can.
That's gorgeous! A friend of mine has the twin. Same color, stage 1, painted white roof, purchased new by his brother. Beautiful car!!
No, Jeff still has his, although it is for sale too, $31,969 obo IIRC. His has a white vinyl top and white bucket seat interior. So if anyone is looking for an unrestored #'s matching 69 stage 1, blue with a white vinyl top and white buckets/console, let me know!
Yep your right. Now I remember. His did have white interior and buckets. Getting forgetful in my old age. Lol.
Isn't this the one George wished he didn't sell ? .. or was it the other one ? ..... or the other one ??? I do know which one he's glad he sold
This is the one George wished he would have bought (from me, the first time). I found it in CT or Maine, or somewhere back in that corner of the US, and George went and inspected it and picked it up for me and brought it back to his place. Then I sold it to David Roth and he did a partial resto on it. Sold it to Bill V., and I bought it from Bill V., and then later sold it on consignment (and Bob, the current owner bought it) at a local muscle car shop.
Yes, it was CT, Owners name was Dave J (I know his name). I drove past his house within the past year. If I recall, CJP, the car was a Connecticut car for most of its life. Dave J then did a 3 year (??) frame off on it. He wanted to keep the car as original as possible- using most, it not all, of the original, born with parts. He had the grille restored, the original bumpers replated, used the original interior and so on. If you look at the under carriage pics, you will note pitting on the lower control arm... as that is the ORIGINAL LCA. Dave also had a bunch of documentation- window sticker, order sheet, etc. The PS mirror was ordered with the car (!!) and is documented as such. As 69gs400s pointed out, YES, I'm saddened this Stage didn't stay here. GREAT factory color combo (blue with white PAINTED roof), original RS engine, BB trans, 246 carb, stage 1 distributor, ON code 3.64 posi, disc brakes, documentation up the waazoo, and clean. For the record, YES, I wish I didn't sell the black convertible (Gary P), the SCO 4 speed, the cameo cream stage or Goldie Lox. :spank:
WOW. Reeeely nice car! Priced reasonably too. Surprised Mark Lob hasnt jumped on this yet...:Brow: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Mark has already had his share of 68/69's, he is looking for something a little different this time.
This car is officially for sale, talked to daughter today. I will update first posting as well. https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...port-for-sale-in-federal-way-washington-98023
Again, well documented, original car. Just drove part the original owners town this weekend. A factory blue, white PAINTED roof car with black bench interior. Factory born with Stage 1 engine, original 246 stage carb, distributor, ON code 3.64 posi. Per documentation, the passenger side door mirror was ORDERED, as was the disc brakes. This is one of those well documented, numbers matching cars with decent options. Yes, it should've stayed here...
