1970-72 Sportwagon parts for my active project. I need the rear window crank/lock/clutch assembly - NOS or excellent used. 1970 Burnished saddle(dark brown) interior plastic bits, brown non AC kick panels, driver's side sill plate - nice original. NOS sportwagon emblems for the quarters, Burnished saddle console/shifter/woodgrain handle setup - nice driver condition or better, floor shift tilt column with key - ready to paint, preferably with the correct levers, factory cruise control transducer to speedometer cable, passenger side headlight bezel - looking for one with shiny chrome and the fewest pits possible that is useable for a driver, repairable 70 GS Grille or a parts grille - have a couple parts grilles already, 1970 GS grille studs, 1970 Skylark Custom 4 door sedan door panels with the waffle pattern - any color if they are nice. 16" thumb groove 3 spoke wheel in Buckskin/Sandalwood, Red(yeah right) or burnished saddle. 1969 GS/Skylark inner fenders, GS trunk trim, GS trunk emblem(original), Red bucket seat headrests in nice driver condition, 400 stick car carb, 4 speed bellhousing and big block flywheel. Anything out there?
I have been trying to collect red interior parts myself, for my 70 GS interior project. The red sport wheels seem to be popping up everywhere. I searched quite awhile for bucket seat headrests. I just found a guy with 4 of them, and bought all 4. I am using the 2 nice ones. The other two have splits or flaws.
Brian, My 69 Car is a factory Red Bucket Interior car. One headrest is good, one has splits and the repro ones are junk so I need one nice one. It has a standard steering wheel that I want to upgrade to the 3 spoke but I want it to be the correct, larger diameter 16" "thumb groove" wheel. Been looking for 5 years. Got close once but it turned out to be a corvette wheel with a deeper dish to it. Jim - any chance you have a pair of nice original emblems? I bought one single one earlier today from another board member but I wouldn't mind having another pair of original ones. Jarrod - Let me know what luggage rack stuff you come up with - the potmetal parts of mine are terrible and almost every piece of the stainless is dented - plus I want to add the air deflector.
Hi. I have a very decent set of headrests. Black if I recall. And a set of 4 NEW old stock silver background wheel center caps in original GM boxes. I have a BBB flywheel and a few BellH's, some stick parts too! ..and may even have one more floor shift steering column . . .but not 100% certain. Havent been down to my storage unit in over 7 months... having more fun and much more lucrative flippin houses these days than selling parts. . . Wheelz, Tampa Bay
I found 2 outside perimeters 1 rear deflector, but still haven't found the stainless strips. I'm going to keep looking as I know those strips were put away for good reason.
70sportwagon, I have found that the red used in 1969 is darker than what was used in 1970. SEM NAPA Red matches that darker red excellent. I had to make my own mix for the 70 red.
My luggage rack is in tough shape so I will need all you can find. I will take the brown horn button off of your other post as well - keep me posted.
I have 2 non-ac kick panels from my 72 hardtop, unfortunately they are black so might not be what you are looking for. Just figured I would put it out there
I have found 3 outer perimeter pieces so I should be able to get one nice unit out of them, I still haven't found the strips. The rear wing is straight just pitting on ends and pedestals. I'm going to look again when I get back in town one more time. I know we have them but can't find them. Put away for safe keeping lol
Cool deal - keep me posted. Does the rack look like the one on my project car? I have attached a picture.
Yes Also I'm heading to Mundelein Illinois in April, (14 hour drive). If you wanted to meet me there or had friends and family there you could save money on shipping.
I'm throwing in the towel on finding the roof strips. Probably find them when I'm not looking. So if you wanted the perimeter with wing, $135 plus ride. Plus horn button. Let me know either way. Sorry
Can I get a quick pick of the perimeter and wing to make sure it is the one I need? I still am interested without the strips.
