1969 OLDS 442 Convertible with factory 4 speed, documented on 442.com, , Front end rebuilt, good solid sheet metal, tons of extra parts, 1 of 1016 built in 1969. Has been in dry storage for 17 years. This is a legitimate 442 Convertible , THIS IS NOT A CLONE. I have 2 stock hoods, mint 4-speed console and two sets of rims, 1 is SS 1's. Both bumpers have been re-chromed and are still wrapped. The rear has the exhaust trumpet cut-outs. I also have the engraved 442 Hurst shifter.Solid floor and trunk pans. Appears to be original paint.I would rate this car as 90% rust/rot free. Maroon with white hood and trunk stripes. Maroon bucket seats ( cloth/ fabric). This is a Lansing built 442. VIN # 344679 M %%%%%%. I am reducing my collection and I do not mis- represent any of my cars. I have the entire front clip as mentioned above for this car. The dataplate reads, ST 69 33667, LAN 157874, BDY TR 935, 52A PNT 10 C. You can verify these model numbers on www.442.com or www.69OLDS.com.The car is disassembeld but complete along with extra parts. Some of the parts are, 2 extra doors, 2 extra front fenders, extra 1969 hood including what I believe to be a 1969 Hurst hoodscoop that is not installed.Disc brake calipers and booster. All of the chrome trim plus extra sets of door sills, windows and windshield as well as the convertible top trim. New rear window glass still in the wrapper. This is just a small listing of the extra parts. I filled a 26 foot enclosed trailer to transport them to my barn. Original Muncie transmission is included along with a rebuilt 455 (1969) from Shaker's Machine Shop located in Grand Rapids Michigan. The motor has been sitting for 5 years but has been primed and rotated on a regular basis. It also has the "C" heads with aftermarket intake and carb. Here is what this rare car will need in my opinion. New convertible top, the original is white, and a new windshield . The original windshield is cracked. As I mentioned above, the car is apart and will need to be put back together. The car is located 1 hour from Chicago, South Bend Indiana or Kalamazoo Michigan. I will not sell any of the parts. This is a package deal for a true 442 4-speed convertible. Please no picture collectors. I have a dial up connection and I am not very computer literate when it comes to loading and sending pictures. The car is available for inspection but an appointment is strongly preferred. I will be out of town over this weekend for some High School graduation ceremonies. My 1972 Stage 1 4-speed convertible 3 year restoration is about 1 month from completion. Finally!! Price is $15,000.00 firm. Thanks, Upstaged in Michigan.

I am currently in the Stillwater/ White Bear Lake Minn. area until Tuesday night. I will respond to all of the PM's that I have gotten on this 442. I forgot to mention that it is a non-A/C car to all of you have asked. I do have the complete front disc brake (s) to convert it over to provide better stopping power. Thanks, Upstaged.

Dr. Olds, I lost your address. Contact me either here or at www.442.com. To respond to your question (s), it is a non-A/C car but it has the original rear end still in the car. Thanks, Upstaged.

I had a non-board member stop in and look at the 442 convertible I have for sale. He/ they drove about 2 hours and looked the car over closely. I am then offered alot of money for the parts only. I forgot how "crazy" original parts have gotten as far as cost. After I expained (again) that it is a package deal and a few unpleasantries , they left without either the parts or the car. I guess what I learned is to hang on to all of the parts, not just the original ones until the right buyer comes along. I guess that I will hang on to most of my 5 GS parts cars until I am sure that no additional parts are required for my 72 Stage 1 convertible. If necessary, I will hold on to the Olds until later in the year. Upstaged in Michigan.

Andy, Good money is relative , right? I want the new owner to resurrect this car to it's former glory with minimal haedaches regarding parts. Plus, I informed the parties about the no sale of just the parts from their initial inquiry. My 72 Stage 1 convt. project has a couple of weeks left after a 3 plus year frame off. I guess I am old school on the volitale muscle cars and the parts market these days. Additionally, I work with alot of pushy/ obnoxious individuals so I prefer not to "deal" with that type in the hobby. Upstaged.

Marco, I will gladly send you some / alot of pictures once the car is done, done. I am anxious to get the car, lower the top and run it through the gears. I sent you the build information about a year ago so you do have that on file. I will make sure the pictures you get are of the highest quality. Thanks again and great website. The 442 is sold to a person in the Orlando, Fla area. When it is back on the road, watch out ! Thanks to 72 Staged / Staged 72 (?)( Mike) for helping the new owner out. He is pleased and all of the parts to go with it. Working out the enclosed delivery to the Sunshine State now. Time to finish my 72 Stage1 convt, finally. Upstaged in Michigan
